Description
“Quest For Survival” is the only release by Oakland, California rapper Plan Bee, which came out as an EP in 1994 under One Hundred 20 Records. This rare gem features collaborations with fellow artists Poohman and Saafir, adding to the EP’s unique gangsta rap sound.
The EP consists of 5 tracks, including “Quest 4 Survival” featuring Poohman and Saafir, “Quest 4 Survival (Remix)” featuring Poohman and Saafir, Saafir’s “Runnin From 5-0,” and “Grindin'” with its remix version. The EP showcases Plan Bee’s raw talent and skills as a rapper.
Jesse Rahim Hall Sr., also known as Plan Bee, was born on January 20, 1970, and was one of the founding members of Hobo Junction. Tragically, his life was cut short when he was murdered on June 29, 1992, in a case of mistaken identity, at the age of 22. Plan Bee was sitting in a car parked in front of his parents’ home when he and three friends were shot multiple times. He was the only fatality.
“Quest For Survival” serves as a testament to Plan Bee’s talent and potential in the world of hip-hop. Though his life and career were cut short, this EP stands as a tribute to his life, love, and contributions to the music industry.
