“Soul Assassins II” is the second studio album by renowned producer and Cypress Hill’s DJ Muggs from Los Angeles, California. Released on October 3, 2000, by RuffLife Records, this hip-hop album showcases DJ Muggs’ exceptional production skills and features an impressive lineup of artists, including Kool G Rap, G.O.D. Pt. III, Xzibit, King Tee, GZA, Goodie Mob, Kurupt, Hostyle, Chace Infinite, Krondon, Ras Kass, Phenam, Dilated Peoples, Roscoe, Cypress Hill, Everlast, Self Scientific, and Buc Fifty.
The album kicks off with Kool G. Rap on “Real Life,” followed by G.O.D. Pt. III’s “We Will Survive.” Xzibit and King Tee join forces on “You Better Believe It,” and GZA delivers “When The Fat Lady Sings.” Goodie Mob’s “This Some’n To” keeps the momentum going, while Kurupt provides an “Armageddon (Interlude).”
Hostyle’s “Victory Or Defeat” sets the stage for a collaboration between Chace Infinite, Krondon, Phenam, and Ras Kass on “Heart Of The Assassin.” Dilated Peoples’ “Suckers Are Hidin,” engineered by The Alchemist, leads into “When The Pain Inflict” by Kurupt and Roscoe.
