Description
“Uknot Knowin” is a studio EP by rapper DarQ, hailing from Long Beach, California. Released in 1996 under Vast Records, this EP features Thug Rap and Gangsta styles that were prevalent during the time. The EP includes four tracks, with a feature by Killa on the opening track, “Mama Can’t Cry.”
The EP starts with “Mama Can’t Cry,” a soulful track showcasing DarQ’s storytelling ability alongside Killa’s unique flow. Produced by Moe Z M.D., the song sets the tone for the rest of the EP. The second track, “Funk Ya’ll Right On Up,” continues the hard-hitting vibe, featuring production by Moe Z M.D. and writing by J. Robertson and Radio.
“Creepin’ On Those That Sleep” is the third track, boasting a darker atmosphere with production by Muffla and writing by Muffla and Radio. The EP closes with “Turn Up The Bass,” a high-energy track produced by Moe Z M.D., encouraging listeners to feel the groove and lose themselves in the music.
The EP features backing vocals by Killa and Radio, with graphic design and logo by Endré Yancey. The project was engineered by Sherman York, Moe Z M.D., and Paul Arnold, while executive production and photography were handled by Kalvin Washington and Lonnell Washington.
