Description
“Reality Has Got Me Tied Up” is the second studio album by Long Beach, California rap group The Dove Shack. Released in 2000 by Street Solid and Dolphin, this 16-track album brings together a collection of G-funk and gangsta rap styles that showcase the group’s raw talent and lyrical prowess.
The Dove Shack, consisting of C-Knight, Bo-Roc, and 2Scoops, first gained prominence with their debut song “This Is the Shack” on Warren G’s “Regulate…G Funk Era” album. They released their first album in 1995, featuring the hit single “Summertime in the LBC” with Arnita Porter.
“Reality Has Got Me Tied Up” includes notable collaborations with Kam on “Going Down,” Baby Boy, Bad Azz, and Lil’ J on “Open Eyes,” Nate Dogg on “Sorry We Keep Ya,” Madom Dree on “Gangsta,” and Goldie Loc on “Fucc You Bitches.” The album features production by Bo Dozier, Rectangle, Dre B Gone, Goldie Loc, and Tray, creating an immersive listening experience that captures the essence of the West Coast sound.
