Description

“A Lot On It” is the only studio album by Inglewood, California rapper Gooch. Released on June 17, 1997, by Geffen Records, the album blends Hip Hop and Funk/Soul styles, including RnB/Swing, Thug Rap, Gangsta, and Soul. The 19-track album features collaborations with Sir Jinx, Madd K.D., Kool G Rap, and Ricky Bell.

The album kicks off with an “Intro” that incorporates vocals by Ike Turner and backing vocals by the Rally Park Choir. “Keep It On The Down Low,” featuring a talkbox by Sir Jinx and backing vocals by Faizon Love and Torry Woods, showcases Gooch’s smooth flow and ability to blend Hip Hop with R&B elements. “West Coast Playa” sees Gooch teaming up with Sir Jinx, while “Black Wednesday” features Madd K.D. and Sir Jinx on backing vocals.
