Description

“The World Of Dominology” is the third studio album by Long Beach, California rapper Domino. Released on November 4, 1997, by Case Records U.S.A., the album features a blend of hip-hop and G-Funk styles, along with collaborations with notable artists like Frost, Passion, K-Ci & JoJo, and Teena Marie.

The album kicks off with “Dominology,” a track that sets the tone for the rest of the project. “Shake It Up” brings an energetic vibe, with backing vocals by Blackjack. “On Them Thangz” features Frost and backing vocals by Natra, further emphasizing the G-Funk influence.

“Do You Like It” and “Keep Goin’,” featuring Passion, showcase Domino’s smooth rap style. “Get Yo Money” is a standout track with R&B icons K-Ci & JoJo, blending hip-hop and R&B elements seamlessly. “Come On Over” features the legendary Teena Marie, adding a touch of soul to the album.

“Sowed Up Like Clothes” features Christelyn Davis on backing vocals, while “Daddy Mack” incorporates Bokie’s backing vocals. “Booty Call” and “Just Clownin'” are upbeat, fun tracks that will get listeners moving. The album closes with “Everybody Wanna Be A G,” a reflection on the realities of gangsta life.

Domino, born Shawn Antione Ivy, first gained mainstream success with his self-titled debut album, which included the hit singles “Getto Jam” and “Sweet Potatoe Pie.” Over his career, Domino has released multiple albums, such as “Physical Funk,” “Remember Me?,” “D Freaked It,” and “Mr. Melodocious.”
