Description

“Sports” is the second solo album by B.A., a member of the renowned hip-hop group 3X Krazy from Oakland, California. Released on August 2, 2005, by Sumday Entertainment, the album showcases B.A.’s talent in delivering thug rap and gangsta style hip-hop, featuring collaborations with several prominent artists and producers.

The album starts with a “Skit” that sets the tone for the listening experience. “Gunz In Da Closet,” featuring E-40 and Will Hen, and produced by Tone Capone, demonstrates B.A.’s powerful lyrical skills and storytelling abilities. “Put Ya Ring Book On,” featuring Yukmouth and produced by Tee The Beatsmith, further cements B.A.’s status as a force to be reckoned with in the rap scene.

“Life In A Nutshell” slows things down a bit, featuring production by Rankin’ Scroo and offering introspective lyrics that detail the struggles and triumphs of B.A.’s life. The high-energy track “Five Mic,” produced by Rimo, showcases B.A.’s relentless flow and wordplay.

“Stunt 2005” and “Tizzle” feature collaborations with Frank Sticks and Tizzle, respectively, offering a fresh take on B.A.’s signature sound. “Get Ya Grind” and “I Just Wanta,” both featuring Husalah and Lee Major with production by Tandem, demonstrate B.A.’s ability to adapt and evolve within the ever-changing hip-hop landscape.

“I Know How,” another Tone Capone-produced track, maintains the album’s momentum, leading into another “Skit” that transitions the listener into the latter half of the album. “Pimpin’,” featuring Frank Sticks and produced by Shorty, and “Neck Wet,” featuring G-Dubb, continue to showcase B.A.’s skills and charisma.

“Why,” a collaboration with B-Legit and Harm, who also serves as the producer, demonstrates B.A.’s ability to work alongside other talented artists. “What Ya Want,” featuring Bone Crusher and produced by Traxamillion, closes the album on a high note, leaving listeners with a memorable impression of B.A.’s unique style and talent.
