Description
“Tha Block” is an unreleased album by rapper Jet, hailing from Hayward, California. The project, originally recorded in 1994, was eventually released in 2011 by Young Gotti Records. Jet, also known as Jet Ward or Big Yello, has been rapping since the age of 14 and started his career with Righteous Records. As a member of the 662 Ball Club, Jet brings his unique flow and gritty lyrics to this EP.
The six-track EP opens with the title track “Tha Block,” which features an uncredited appearance by fellow rapper Pooh-Man. This track sets the stage for the EP’s raw and authentic sound, reminiscent of the early ’90s gangsta rap scene. “Black Heatred Ass Nigga” follows, further showcasing Jet’s lyrical prowess and storytelling abilities.
