Description
Innercity Hoodlums is the only studio album by Seven Tré, a rap group from Oakland, California. The album was released in 1996 by Bomb Threat Records and features 12 tracks showcasing the group’s gritty thug rap style.
The album’s lead single, “Pimpin Ain’t E.Z.,” features Seven Tré’s signature West Coast gangsta sound and was a local hit in Oakland upon its release. Other standout tracks on the album include “I Love The Ghetto,” “Pimp Shit,” and “Smoke On.”
Innercity Hoodlums was produced by Lord Greg and mixed by Bruce Tambling and Dale Lewis at Bruce Tambling Sound in Oakland. The album’s artwork and photography were handled by NOW design & type.
Although Seven Tré never achieved mainstream success, Innercity Hoodlums remains a cult classic among fans of West Coast hip hop and gangsta rap.
