Description

“Please Pass The Mic” is an extremely rare compilation album featuring various artists, released in 1992 by Under-Ground Music Company. This unique collection brings together some of the most promising talents from the early ’90s hip-hop scene, showcasing a diverse range of styles, including Gangsta and G-Funk. The compilation is divided into two sections: “East Side Stories” and “West Side Stories,” highlighting the different flavors of hip-hop emerging from these regions at the time.

The album opens with “Understand Perfection,” a collaboration between Perfection and a young Snoop Doggy Dogg, setting the stage for an exciting journey through the hip-hop landscape of the early ’90s. Unity Committee’s “Who’s Gonna Be The Next Victim” and Mister Cix’s “6 In The Clip” continue to build the momentum with their raw energy and powerful lyricism.

“East Side Stories” also features standout tracks like “Mack Thang” by Perfection, “The Hoes That Won’t Dance” by Ded 2 The World, and “Dungeons & Dragons” by Mac-10, showcasing the distinctive sounds and styles that defined the hip-hop scene in the early ’90s.
